They are primarily used to terminate your already installed fibre cables to network devices or patch panels by splicing the exposed end onto another fibre. This makes it easier for technicians to install as they can cut the pigtails to the desired length and splice after installation. This provides a reliable, low-loss connection point, allowing seamless integration into a network.
